Hi,

you can follow the instructions here : https://www.eclipse.org/ecoretools/doc/index.html starting from "Creating diagrams from an existing Ecore", that should allow you to have a Class diagram for your Ecore model.

Hi Cedric,

but is it possible to have multiple such models per project?

I am looking for a way to use MDA and have both the metamodel and the model as UML diagrams in the same project.

I always end up with the metamodel being fine UML, but then the instantiation of it the model, I can only fill with Ecore tools, which is a pitty.

Kind regards
Michael

I'm not sure to 100% get what you are asking for but I'll try to answer anyway, so feel free to correct me if there is something I misunderstood.
It looks like you would like to edit the instances of your metamodel graphically . If so, you have to first define the visual aspects of those instances, you might want to use Sirius https://eclipse.org/sirius/

Sirius is the underlying technology which is used by EcoreTools so that you can display and edit Ecore models.
