We're testing 1.8.0_u60 because it includes a fix for a jmap bug in the JDK ( JDK-8077507) with lambdas. We are now able to take heap dumps with jdk1.8.0_60 using jmap, but Eclipse MAT is unable to open them.

Is this a known issue? Is there a nightly I can try with a fix? Thanks.

I created a bug for this: https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=471757

Could you please attach the log file? It should be <mat>/workspace/.metadata/.log, or at least the stacktrace of the exception (I hope it is logged there). Use the bug or the forum, whatever is more convenient to you.
