Hi,

is there any planned release date for the JIRA connector usable with Eclipse MARS ?
The Mylyn connector discovery list showing up for 'Install more connectors..." in Eclipse MARS did not contain the JIRA connector.

Kind regards
Dominik

Hi,

I expect the discovery listing will be updated in a few days. In the mean time you can install the JIRA connector directly from Atlassian: https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/IDEPLUGIN/Installing+the+Eclipse+Connector

Cheers,
Sam

Sadly, Atlassian retired the IDE connectors:

see their blog:

Are there any plans on resurrecting the Mylyn JIRA Connector now that Atlassian is no longer supporting the Atlassian Connector?

Hi,

No, we have no plans to take on maintenance of a JIRA connector within the Mylyn project.

It is neither listed under "Install more connectors" nor in the Eclipse MarketPlace. Still I managed to install it on Eclipse Mars without problems by using the Eclipse Update Site mentioned here.

Looks like it is now an open source project. I installed it, but am getting an authentication error from MyLyn when trying to verify my Jira connection. Same username and password work fine with jira.
Error:
Client response status: 302. Https might be required.

My site does use https.

Here's the open source project if anyone wants to help out. (Won't let me post the entire link. Mad

Following up on this, while Atlassian has removed support for their JIRA connector, there is a new, supported JIRA connector available from Tasktop for $24/yr. See the Eclipse Marketplace listing or http://www.tasktop.com/tasktop-dev-pro.

Hi,

The Eclipse/Mylnn/Jira connector is no longer supported by Atlassian and even though the opensource jira-rest-java-client libraries have been updated to handle the api drift of Jira Cloud, I myself have been unable to figure out how to update/fix the plugin (Atlassian Connector for Eclipse / Atlassian JIRA Connector)

Does anyone else use Eclipse and would like a Task-based focus on their Jira workload? I imagine there are many of you out there... How do you do it? Is there another way? Have you handmade your own connector/plugins?

Many thanks if anyone can help.

Best,
Will
