Forcing new projects to automatically maintain the previous settings [message #1699215]

I'm running C++ development within Eclipse version 3.7.0 on Windows 7.

When I create a new project, which I do via 'Makefile Project with Existing Code', there are a few things I always have to modify in Project Properties. For example, I always have to add several Resource Filters. I also have to manually add Make Targets to each new project.

Is there a way to make these changes to the Workspace, and have them automatically apply to all projects created within that workspace?
