 Getting "PyDev" perspective in Open Perspective Panel [message #1696227] |

As the title and Description say, I am trying to get this "PyDev" mode integrated into my Eclipse on my MacBook Pro (64-bit). I have the latest versions of Python(IDLE/Launcher), Java, and Eclipse installed. I have been trying to figure this out on my own via Google search, but nothing seems to work for me. I have also installed PyDev via LiClipse on my computer independently, but was unable to integrate that into my Open Perspective panel in Eclipse. I have verified my JRE and am trying to verify the JMKs are locked into Eclipse as well. I have gone to the Eclipse.ini file and opened that in a special Windows .txt reading app, to try to fiddle with the code and resave that into my Eclipse, but have been unsuccessful thus far.
It is stuff like this that made me give up on programming at a young age, I will not let that happen again. But any help getting pointed in the right direction out there would be helpful. Right now when I click the Open Perspective button in the top right of my Eclipse window, I see only:
CVS Repository Exploring
Debug
Git
Java (default)
Java Browsing
Java Type Hierarchy
Planning
Resource
Team Synchronizing
XML
On my Python 101 instructor's tutorial video, there are many more options than the ones listed above, and PyDev which is crucial to the next part of my lesson, is not listed. I have tried getting in touch with the professor, but with 2,400 students it can be difficult for him to keep up with everybody's problems. He has responded, and hopefully he can help me figure this out by the end of the weekend. If there are any angels who can pinipoint my the root of my problem here sooner though, I would be very grateful. Thanks
