Hi,

I would like to be notified when a diagram tab is opened.

I have an editor with three tabs (tree-form editor, diagram and source) created like this. I tried to use the org.eclipse.ui.part.MultiPageEditorPart.addPageChangedListener(IPageChangedListener) method but the listener is triggered only when the tree-form editor tab is selected.

I seems to work if I override the getSelectedPage method from to return other than only IFormPage instances but I'm not sure if I'm using it the right way.

Do you know about a better solution?

It looks like you may have hit a bug. SapphireEditor extends from FormEditor, so it's not entirely surprising that some aspects don't properly account for non-form pages. I'd like to re-write it at some point to extend directly from MultiPageEditorPart, but obviously it hasn't happened yet. It sounds like you may have found a fix as well. If you would like to propose a patch, the deadline for accepting patching for 8.2/9 releases is this Friday 5/22.

Well, I definitely won't make the whole rewrite to extends directly MultiPageEditorPart until Friday.

I a patch just to fix the single problem would be ok, I can try to create one, but I'd like to test it and unfortunately I cannot even build the clean cloned repository as I get following error:

Check the version of Java that's used. If it's Open JDK, try Oracle JDK. I don't really know what would cause this failure. The downloads are checksum checked. For it to fail in the untar phase, it had to have already verified that what it downloaded is intact.

Check the version of Ant that's used too. It would probably be helpful to compare the initial part of your build output to what's produced on Hudson.
