I'm going to apologize, as I'm 100% sure this has been answered somewhere. I have spent the last few months being annoyed and googling things to no avail at random, and cannot find the answer to my (seemingly) simple question. When I double click on a .java file in the type heirarchy, it opens it at the bottom of my screen when I want it to open at the top. I have tried searching through the help for tab position, etc. and have a headache. So I turn to you guys, could someone please tell me how to fix my idiocy please?index.php/fa/21718/0/

Have you already tried resetting the perspective using Window->Reset Perspective? Is it just with this one file, or all files opened from there? Why don't we see the Type Hierarchy in your screenshot (which, by the way, is ENORMOUS)?

If you right-click the file and select Open With..., what editor is "highlighted?" What happens if you select Java Editor?
