"Cannot load 32-bit SWT libraries on 64-bit JVM" but cannot find 64-bit SWT on SWT [message #1688503] Fri, 20 March 2015 21:39 Go to next message

I got the above message while trying to run SWT on a 64-bit JRE on Windows.

So, I went to SWT's home page and clicked on the link for the latest
stable Windows release. However, I was not given a choice of 32- or
64-bit, but only to one file "swt-4.4.2-win32-win32-x86.zip", which I
guess is 32-bit and which gives me the same error.

So, I have two questions:

- where can I find a 64-bit version of SWT?
- if there are two versions of SWT, why isn't that distinction clear on
SWT's home page?

I am guessing that the above file does work for both 32-bit and 64-bit
(hard to imagine the home page missing this distinction if it were that
important). If so, why am I getting that error?

Thanks.

You can download the latest eclipse/swt builds for 32/64 bit per platform from below link:
http://download.eclipse.org/eclipse/downloads/

Above link can be navigated from the SWT Home page "4.5 Integration Builds" link title.
