Instantiation of blocks does not show ports in Papyrus [message #1688403] Fri, 20 March 2015 16:29 Go to next message

Hi,

When I instantiate a block from the block definition diagram in the internal block diagram, it just creates the part without the ports.

Can this be changed?

Also as I am creating an instance, I want to make a definition of variables. The instantiation should show this or at least the declaration.

Thank you,

Frank

I am asking because what is then the purpose of the parts(instances) if you have to copy blocks(classes) , which have bound variable definitions to literally create a new instance ? It should be implemented according to programming languages such as C++.

It would make much more sense if all of the properties showed up as declarations and could then be defined in the ibd.

This seems to be something substantial. Or did I miss an option?

Any help is appreciated.

Hi, Frank,

I don't know anything about the semantics of SysML or how the diagrams
differ from UML, but perhaps something like the canonical view
synchronization available in M6 of the Mars release will help. In
particular, the integration with CSS for enablement of the canonical
style:
