Good Evening,

I have only recently started using Eclipse (Version: 3.4.1) and I'm trying
to setup SSH or FTP (I'm not sure of the difference to be honest) onto a
school server that's running Fedora 9. I currently use two programs to
connect to the network. One is called SSH Secure File Transfer Client, and
the other is PuTTy. I would like to be able to have the functionality of
those two programs in Eclipse. I believe I have installed TM Stable Build:
3.1M5 by downloading the file, and extracting the contents into the
Eclipse install directory.

My troubles lie in setting up the connection. I have tried creating a New
Connection of type Linux, SSH Only, and Unix, but none of them work. I
enter the server name, but when I try to connect and enter in my user ID
and password, I get the following error message:

Operation failed with exception 'Session.connect:
java.security.NoSuchAlgorithmException: DH KeyPairGenerator not available'

I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong or if I'm even doing anything right.
Thanks for any help you can give, and let me know if you need anymore
information.

Cheers,

-Dirk

Hi Dirk,

it looks like your SSH server requires a Diffie-Hellman ("DH")
algorithm for encrypting your connection, and the Java JRE that
you are using doesn't have that installed.

Our SSH library, JSch, should support DH key exchange, so it looks
like your JRE is somehow incomplete or broken. I'd recommend installing
a new JRE (e.g. http://java.sun.com).

For reference, see also this:
