reconnect clients when bridge reconnects [message #1840535]

Hi, I am very new to Mosquitto.

The set up

2 brokers

broker 1 Mosquitto which has all clients connected to it and is bridged to broker 2, with automatic reconnect and subscribed to topic # both 0.

broker 2 OpenLuup it has internal subscriptions from the openluup devices and 1 external connection to broker 1

The issue

If I restart broker 1 no issue everything still works.

if i restart broker 2 all subscriptions to broker 1 are not passed to broker 2, until broker 1 is restarted or the devices reboot or the wifi is restarted

The question

How can i force all clients on broker 1 to disconnect and reconnect without having to restart broker 1, after the bridge reconnects
