Hello, my name is Pedro and I trying to learn the C++ language.
First of all, let me explain my situation.
To learn de C++ language I was told to download a compiler and an IDE, so, I chose the Eclipse IDE and Microsoft Visual C++ as a compiler, 'cause I already had Microsoft Visual C++ 2005/08/10/12/13/15 redistributable installed on my pc.

Now, when I start a new project, the Eclipse asks me for a cross compiler prefix and a cross compiler path.

I can't find the path of the Visual C++ neither mind what kind of prefix it refers to.

Sorry for this newbie question, but I'm really trying to understand it.

It's better to ask about C/C++ tools on the CDT forum: https://www.eclipse.org/forums/eclipse.tools.cdt
