Server Explorer UI Bug? [message #91986] Wed, 13 April 2005 16:28 Go to next message

Environment:
- Windows XP SP 1
- Java SDK & JRE 1.4 & 5 installed
- Eclipse 3.1 M6
- Webtools 1.0 M3

Problem Description:

Problem occurred immediately after install of Eclipse 3.1 M6 & Webtools
1.0 M3. Second time starting Eclipse executable.

Installed all requirements of webtools. Navigated to Resource Perspective
in a one of three open Eclipse windows. Opened Server Explorer & DB
Output views. Added a server connection as follows:

Database = kihdb2a
JDBC Driver Class = COM.ibm.db2.jdbc.app.DB2Driver
Class Location = C:\Program Files\Sqllib\java\db2java.zip
Connection URL = jdbc:db2:kihdb2a

Input user & password, clicked on "Test Connection" button, test is
successful.

Clicked on Finish button. Connection is open, but there is no connection
displayed in the Server Explorer window; it is blank. Tried setting up
several other database connections with the same JDBC Driver Class & Class
Location, they all opened a connection, but none are shown in the Server
Explorer window. Shut down Eclipse & started it up again, same problem.
Shut down Eclipse & started up with -clean, also did not fix problem.

Anyone else have this problem?

Some problems were found when WTP moved up to Eclipse 3.1M6. Please try
again with milestone M4, due out next week, and report back any errors you
have. If you'd like to use WTP M3 you should use Eclipse 3.1M5a.
