Hi,

I am trying to follow the installation of TPTP
( http://www.eclipse.org/tptp/home/downloads/installguide/Inst allGuide42.html)
which lead me to installing the Agent Controller.
I've downloaded

But after when i tried to execute ACServer.exe the following error is
prompted:
"<install_path>\bin\ACServer.exe is not a valid Win32 application" and on
console, message "Access is denied." and the program terminates.

i could not seems to find any logs anywhere.

Any idea?

By the way, is setting up Agent Controller a necessary to run TPTP?

You probably downloaded the wrong Windows version. It's most likely that
you downloaded the Windows-IPF or Windows-EM64T versions. Try downloading
the Windows-IA32 version.

No, you don't need the Agent Controller if you're running things locally.
You can use the Integrated Agent Controller (IAC), which is included as
part of the TPTP plugins. You'll need the Agent Controller on your target
machine if you're running things remotely.

Also i've extracted the main TPTP package into eclipse installation. But
does not seem to find the new plugin. When i go to File -> New -> Other,
there is no 'Test' menu shown. How do i check what i've configured
wrongly? Or is there any dependency on other eclipse plugin and its
version?

Symptoms/results? What did you see to say it's not working correctly?

On Windows, Right-click on My Computer => Properties and see what System
it says... My EM64T system says "Microsoft Windows Server 2003
Enterprise x64 Edition Service Pack 1" ... I use agntctrl.win_em64t
downloads there; my Itanium system says "Microsoft Windows Server 2003
Enterprise Edition Service Pack 1" ... I use agntctrl.win_ipf downloads
there; and my laptop says "Microsoft Windows XP Professional Version
2002 Service Pack 2" ... I use agntctrl.win_ia32 downloads there.

I think the ia32 version will work on both of the other systems, but you
have to be careful the "environment" you run it in (making sure not to
mix with "native" 64-bit code on those systems).

Linux -- uname -m should give you the info you need. i686 => Linux-IA32,
ia64 => Linux-IPF, and x86_64 => Linux-EM64T.

Extracted into the eclipse installation? That's SO pre-Callisto! :-) The
Update Manager is your FRIEND!!

If you've done this, I expect you didn't read the download page's
Requirements list, right? Before TPTP will work, you'd need EMF&XSD
installed into your Eclipse installation as well.

Better to (1) Get Eclipse (platform runtime or SDK or Eclipse SDK) and
then use the Help => Software Updates => Find and Install... and go to
the Callisto Discovery Site, select TPTP and "Select Required" to get
Requirements met.
