Is it possible to update the bundle and repository index programmaticly from a within a bundle at run-time ?

Yes, if you are referring to the index of a watched repository. For instance, the deployer does this prior to deploying an artifact. See the forceCheck method for starters.

forceCheck looks good, but how do I get the Repository instance from a bundle?
