Can DTP be used to connect to databases other than JDBC ?

If you look at the ODA profiles, they use the Connectivity framework and DTP to connect to things like XML files. If you're looking for connecting to ODBC drivers, you can try to use the JDBC-ODBC bridge, but we've had mixed results with it over the years.

What specifically are you looking for?

ODA uses DTP for other data sources. And many years ago we had the ODBC-JDBC bridge working for ODBC-enabled databases at Sybase. That work never made it to DTP unfortunately, but I know it is possible.

What non-JBDC dbs are you looking at supporting?

Thank you for the reply Brian.
As of now I am not looking for a specific ODBC database connection.
I shall update here if I have more specific questions.
