Hello all

Recently I've started investigating Eclipse as a tool for a) remote development and b) remote debugging. To accomplish this I use CDT with RSE (over SSH) and few other plugins. There are several annoying problems that I see, and one of them is that EGit/JGit tools are not integrated with RSE, so there is no way to perform checkout to the remote filesystem over RSE. Is there any plans to implement such functionality?

What would be required is an abstraction layer in JGit for file system
access. Such ideas exists, but are not planned. That would allow the use of
IResource and hence RSE.

hmmm... DIY rocks, huh? Sad

Well, anyway - Git is now not the top priority to me... The CDT itself is not quite integrated with RSE. Build process and indexing is done through plink & samba... RDT of PPTP uses ugly dstore stuff...
