help view on the other hand will show the TOC to the pages but then gives

I've deleted then re-installed eclipse in the C drive (not in Program
Files) but have had no luck getting the help to show up again. The cursor
just spins when I try opening the main help browser.
Please help as I'm trying to learn eclipse each day and really liked the
features of the help window so far.

Can you check in the error log for more detailed messages?
You can check by doing Window->Show View->Error Log, and go to the Error
Log tab in the bottom of your Eclipse window. Post the messages here,
and double-click on the messages to see more details, and post the
details here also.
I've searched Eclipse Bugzilla for the error message you posted, but no
bugs show up from that search.

Also, I'm using the ESET firewall for vista. When I first got the help
problem with eclipse I temporarily disabled it but that made no
difference. When I tried using firefox as an external browser yesterday
for eclipse help it did not work. Just tried it now again and it works
with this http://127.0.0.1:63579/help/index.jsp URL. However, internal
eclipse help viewers do not work, even after starting, stopping eclipse
and toggling the various eclipse preference help options.
