Hi.

I'm having displaying the *.s files(assembler) files in my c/c++ project
view.

* When using the default workspace settings I never see the files.
* If I add the *.s suffix to "c/c++ file types" in the project the files
appear.
However when I restart eclipse again it's gone again.
The workaround here if to remove the *.s suffix and then add it again
every time I start eclipse. This is what I do now :(

Anyone else havning this problem??

CDT
Version: 4.0.0.200703302000
Build id: 200703302000

Eclipse PF
Version: 3.3.0.v20070316b-_-9MEhFxiXZ2gosKM6M-3_Hu9MqL
Build id: I20070323-1616

Thanks.

/Marten

Hi Marten,

I just had the same issue. Before I reported it I checked the behaviour with
a new project and discovered that it works fine. I had the problem with a
project created with CDT3.1 so I suspect that there is an incompatibility in
the project settings between the two releases. When I created a new CDT4.0
project and added a file test.s it is shown with a .c icon, but after I
close and reopen Eclipse it is still visible and shown with a .s icon.

Are you using a pre-CDT4.0 project? If so, what happens if you import it
into a new CDT4.0 project?

Paul.

I have reported a related bug:

Please add to this if you see other strange behaviour.

Paul.
