Uploading all files in a directory tree in Scout 9 [message #1820912]

Hi,
I am getting acquainted with Scout and am wondering whether Scout either supports multiple file uploads or if it would be easy enough to implement it.

What my application needs is to upload all files within a folder recursively to a web server. HTML5 seems to support this feature (example application would be uploading a folder to a web backup service).

I have looked at the FileChooser field wizard, which, as expected, supports single files and have also looked at other forum posts but couldn't find anything.

Scout 9 and the latest version 10 does not support upload of directories, since this feature is not supported yet by all major browsers (like iOS Safari).

The Scout framework provides some features for file-upload on the server-side per Scout session. You could use these features to build a custom widget, that uses the "Directory Upload" feature of the browser, and upload each file to the UI-server. Maybe you could sub-class the existing FileChooser widget.
