Dear all,

I was wondering if there is documentation on the function block library provided in 4DIAC. Tried searching around the forums, sourceforge and the documentation in eclipse.org but couldn't find any.

Hi,

the function blocks (FB) of the FB library in 4diac typically have comments in 4diac describing their interface and behavior. Standardized event-based FBs are described in the IEC 61499-1 [1] Standard (e.g., see Annex A).

Hi Ben,

I went through the IEC 61499-1 standards document you recommended and saw that it covered the event driven function blocks and if i understood properly, those function blocks residing in the IEC 61131-3 folder were converted from the IEC 61131-3 standard. But how about function blocks such as the QX fb under IO? The comments i could see were only as such in the attached picture and maybe the service sequence diagram/ECC depending on what fb it is.

Have a look at "Use IO from different platforms" in the 4diac [1] help for an impression what IO FBs are doing.
