[SOLVED] RCPTT Maven Plugin [message #1709531]

Hi,

I configured my RCPTT workspace to be executed via Jenkins and the Maven plugin.
The testcases to execute are given using the suite element in the pom.xml.

The plugin successfully executes all suites that contain a single testcase, all other suites are skipped.
No skipTags are configured.

What is it I am missing?

The maven plugin is the version N201509232322.

Hi Markus,

Sounds strange, just checked RCPTT Runner 2.1.0-SNAPSHOT with Maven and everything works as expected.

Could you please attach the following:

1) pom.xml file;
2) RCPTT Test Project with test suites;
3) Console output.

Hello,

the problem is solved.
The cause is a mixture of unexpected behaviour and me being inattentive.

When a testcase is renamed within the RCPTT tool, it is removed from any suite that contains it.

As I had to rename each and every testcase, this resulted in the described problem. And I did not check thoroughly enough.

Hi Markus,

This behaviour is not valid (when renamed test case is removed from a test suite). But I can't reproduce it anyway, could you please give some steps of how do you do it?
I've tried both ways: inline name editing in a Test Case editor and Rename (F2) - both ways work as expected, e.g. test is left in a test suite and renamed.

Hi,

I had the following directory structure:

+TestProject
---+TestCases
------+SuiteFolder
----------Suite.file
----------TestcaseFile1
----------TestcaseFileN

I renamed the SuiteFolder and the TestcaseFile beneath that folder by the ContextMenu Rename in the Test Explorer.
Alas I do not remember the order.

As the renaming process was a one time process I did not reproduce the behaviour.

Hi Markus,

I've tried to reproduce with the folder structure the same as yours, in different order, but with no success.
Could you please file a bug in eclipse bugzilla against rcptt project in case you bump into this issue again.
