Hi,

is it possible to find out whether an element is created from the palette or the context menu while dragging it?

what exactly do you mean by Quote:

the context menu while dragging it

? The Popup Handles on the diagram elements?

Hi,

GraphicalNodeEditPolicy is responsible for showing this context menu. You could add information to the request's map used to store parameters. This you could check in your creation command and execute code depending on this value. Is this what you intend to do? If yes I can give you further details, methods to modiy, installing a custom graphical node edit policy etc.
