Hi

We have branch names which contain / but the git plugin doesn't seem to support them

Instead the cloning just ends with nothing to do

Hi, some times ago this issue was reported in Bugzilla:
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=431283

In first comment "Latha Amujuri" pointed a workaround, which works in most of the cases.

Yet still issue exists...

I found said workaround too, and is working find for me. Apparently Hudson believes the branch name to a a full <remote>/<branch> style when there is a slash

This is fine for me, since if it always prepend origin/ then you cannot specify alternative remote name.
