Unsatisfied 'org.eclipse.fx.osgi.util' when exporting osgi/javafx app [message #1540720] Thu, 01 January 2015 17:38 Go to next message

I've followed the several e(fx)clipse tutorials to create my own OSGi based JavaFX app. I have experience creating Eclipse IDE plugins, but not so much exporting them into a stand-alone OSGi app, and I certainly wouldn't want to claim expert status on OSGi development.

When I export the product the build process fails with:
(app.feature.feature.group 1.0.0.201501011827) requires 'org.eclipse.fx.osgi.util 0.0.0' but it could not be found
 Cannot satisfy dependency:

(yes, it ends with the last 'cannot satisfy dependency').

The target runtime was created according to the tutorial, with a blank runtime located at ...../efxclipse/runtime-released/1.0.0/site.

Obviously I'm missing some lines to connect the dots, but which....

Thanks,
Onno.

Looks like the feature generated does not include
"org.eclipse.fx.osgi.util" which tutorial did you take?

It looks like a bug in the wizard who generates the feature

Tom,

Ok, I'll try. My environment was based on tutorial step 4 where a target was defined. I noticed that when I resolved (several) missing dependencies that there were different versions of the same plugins I could choose from. Also, it seems that the local plugins I added in the target's definition (ControlsFX) couldn't be added to the feature.

Just updated all tooling to 1.1.0 and started out with a clean, new project. Added no source or anything else and tried to export that.
However got the same kind of problem:
Missing requirement: Eclipse DI integration for JavaFX 1.1.0.201411050703 (org.eclipse.fx.ui.di 1.1.0.201411050703) requires 'bundle org.eclipse.fx.core.di.context 1.1.0' but it could not be found
 Cannot satisfy dependency:
 Cannot satisfy dependency:

The target I created comes from the 'runtime-released/1.1.0' site, the ' Target Platform Feature'.

I'm trying to create an OSGi application, not so much an E4 application.
