Dear Madam/Sir,
I have installed the 1.1.4 Version of AJDT on Eclipse 2.1.2 and everything
works fine for me, except for compiler errors for the .Java files. When I
am working wirh regular Java peojects, the IDE shows erros as I type and
also shows text along the Tasks view, both of which are absent when I am
editing .Java files in an AspectJ program. What setting am I missing?
Thanks in advance,
Raj Auradkar

You're not missing anything.

The next version(?) of AJDT, the AspectJ development tools project on
Eclipse, is planning to
address these deficiencies. Take a look at the development plan
http://www.eclipse.org/ajdt/ under
the 'Developers' section at the bottom of the page.

I quote:
" The current AspectJEditor supports syntax highlighting and code templates,
but is lacking many of the features of the Java Editor. We are re-designing
the editor as a more principled extension of the JavaEditor. The new
AspectJEditor will support hover-help, auto-indentation, bracket matching,
code-formatting, syntax highlighting, content assist, context-sensitive
help, organize imports, and reconciling. The associated outline view will
eagerly update rather than requiring a compilation. "
