Prompt with 1 Hidden parameter [message #1524840] Tue, 23 December 2014 12:58 Go to next message

I have a report with only 1 hidden not required parameter for value passing to report only. When a refresh is done on the report after initial execution, I get a "Parameters with * are required". Shouldn't I get "There are no parameters for this report". The initial search I get no prompt which is correct. It is just on refresh. Even better would be to not get the prompt at all.

Using BIRT 2.5.1 viewer. I am using the frameset call.

Thank you!!

Have you tried using the url parameter __parameterpage=false?

Thanks Michael!

This happens whenever a report has only parameters that are hidden. Unfortunately, it would be a pretty big change to use the URL parameter. Is there any other way? Like a script to check if all parameters are hidden and suppress the popup. We have a dynamic way of calling reports.

I really appreciate your help.

I've not tried to do it, but you might be able to modify the viewer js/jsp files and get this fixed. It sounds like a bug that very well may have been fixed in the latest versions. Is there any way you can test with a newer version of the viewer to see if this is still a problem?
