Hello folks,

With the release of Eclipse Galileo the eclipse platform will have around
50 frameworks integrated.

But still we do not have a static code analysis tool part of eclipse
projects.

We have tools like PMD, but still nothing part of Eclipse Projects.

Any idea why? Or am I wrong, is there such a tool available?

Is there any plan/proposal for integrating a static code analysis tool
along with Eclipse frameworks?

There was such a framework in TPTP but it is deprecated now, i think.

But findbugs is not an eclipse project, right?

Not sure what you mean by "an eclipse project". The FindBugs plugin is an
Eclipse plugin that is maintained and hosted by the folks who make FindBugs.

The goal of Eclipse is not to provide everything you need. The goal of
Eclipse is to empower a community that, collectively, provides everything
you need.
