I am new to using eclipse having worked with mostly console applications that were compiled and executed directly from the command line. I'm looking to enter the realm of the IDE's, but am finding it difficult to compile/execute the console applications from Eclipse. Is Eclipse not the correct tool for such development?

What kind of code is it? If it's C/C++ have ytou tried the C++ IDE?
