Eclipse hangs while startup for the first time [message #1467565]

I have installed Eclipse IDE (Eclipse Standard 4.3) downlaoded from Eclipse site
https://www.eclipse.org/downloads/packages/release/Kepler/R

Installed Eclipse on Ubuntu 14.04

When I tried to laucn Eclipse for the first time, it got stuck in the initial screen. After a while it started showing a white screen. When I tried ALT + TAB, the Workspace launcher screen was in the background and I am not able to select the workspace.

Attached the screen shot of the workspace laucher shown in the background.

Please suggest how to resolve this issue.
