c programs does not run as expected on eclipse installed on linux Mint [message #1444555]

I have eclipse for c/c++ installed on my system with Linux Mint OS.

Its compiling the code correctly even indicating the syntax errors and all properly. Even hello world program works fine, but when i use variable to take input from user, after i run the program the console is blank and i must enter some character and then the program executes completely
