Preventing Eclipse from showing the currently opened file in the title [message #257255] Fri, 07 November 2008 08:22 Go to next message

Hi!

Can I somehow prevent Eclipse from showing the name of the currently
opened file in the window title? Actually all I would like to see is the
path of the current workspace (which I can add to the title by passing
-showlocation to the eclipse executable when starting it up), any other
information is irrelevant for me and just making the window title too long.

Can this be set up somewhere? (Even if only by editing files in .metadata,
that suits me just as well.)

Thanks,
Agoston

It is not a configurable property (unless you are writing your own RCP)

There is a longstanding feature request for this - I don't remember the
Bugzilla number now, but you should be able to search for it. Add a vote!
I'd love to see the title bar be customizable.
