I don't use eGit, but the command line no matter what.

This said, however, it's all the same. "Rejected non fast forward"
refers to when something has changed on your remote and the same file
has changed locally. Git cannot proceed without destroying something so
it refuses to go forward leaving you to clean up the mess you made.

From the command line, you'd see something like below. (As I say, I
don't use Git from inside Eclipse, so I don't know what it looks like.)

git push origin master
# To https://github.com/user/repo.git
# ! [rejected] master -> master (non-fast-forward)
# error: failed to push some refs to 'https://github.com/user/repo.git'
# To prevent you from losing history, non-fast-forward updates were rejected
# Merge the remote changes (e.g. 'git pull') before pushing again. See the
# 'Note about fast-forwards' section of 'git push --help' for details.

You should Google around for how to solve this. I won't say because what
I'd tell you would not be in Eclipse because I don't know the menu
commands for it. For example, ...

https://help.github.com/articles/dealing-with-non-fast-forward-errors/

I hope this helps at least a little.

Best of luck,

Russ
