Hi everybody,

I'm trying to create tests for our swing application and so far wasn't able to collect any objects. Created a basic test and a suite, started the agent, connected to it, started the app, clicked the target button, no green borders, the AUT is still responding to the mouse and keyboard.

Eventually even changed capture shortcut to alt+mouse1 but still to no avail.

So the question, does it work at all with swing on latest macs?

Thank you.

Hi Sascha,

there shouldn't be a problem with collecting objects on the Mac for swing.
Nevertheless, can you let us know what Mac version and what Java version you are using?

Is there anything specific about your application like frameworks that might be the reason?

You can also look in the log files (in your home directory, or via help) and see what is in the client and the rc swing logs when you try to map.

Best regards,
Alex

Hi Alex,

I'm running OSX 10.9.3 with java, first 1.6+1.7, then removed both completely and set 1.8.0_20-b26 as the only option. Same results, the AUT starts and works normally.

Update. For some reason, after much reinstallation and cleanup, it suddenly started working. A miracle!

Unfortunately no idea what happened. But looks like it's okay now.

Thank you.

Hi Sascha,

very odd indeed - but I'm glad it's working now. If you run into any other problems, let us know.

Best regards,
Alex
