Is it possible to click on an object in a diagram and have it shown in the model explorer tree? Once the model gets large it's increasingly difficult to find things.

Hi,

Yes. Just enable the "link with editor" function: toggle the button
with the two yellow arrows in the Model Explorer view's toolbar. This
will cause the Model Explorer to track the selection in the active
diagram.
