Hi,

Eclipse version:Luna Release (4.4.0)
server: tomcat7
OS: Ubuntu 14.04

I've run the server configuration in Eclipse, added the tomcat7 server.
But how can I be sure that the tomcat7 is successfully integrated in Eclipse.

Is there any way to check the server from Eclipse without creating any projects for the first time?

Thanks!

This is a question for the Eclipse WTP forum, but I'll answer here.

Assuming you've set up a Server in your projects, you should also have a
Server view elsewhere in the workbench. Right-click the Server (in the
Server view) and choose Start. You'll see Tomcat reply in red ink as it
starts up. Despite being red, that's the start-up.

So no, you don't have to have a project created to do this.

Cheers.
