Hi,

I am following this tutorial:
http://eclipsesource.com/blogs/tutorials/getting-started-with-emf-forms-1-2-x/

Everything is working fine up to the point where I need to assign The "Root EClass" to the View element (section "The First View Model" of the tutorial):

index.php/fa/18332/0/

If I press the button "Link Root Eclass" then the dialog does not show any entities at all:

index.php/fa/18333/0/

If I press the button "Create and link new Root Eclass" then the "New Reference Element" dialog contains a single entity named "EClass":

index.php/fa/18334/0/

If I use the "EClass" then I can create a new Eclass element which can then be set as the Root EClass of the view.

However I can not select my existing domain model classes although they are definately available. As proposed by the tutorial I created a test instance of my domain model parallel to the view model which works without problems as can be seen in the first image.

Can anybody please give me a hint what I am doing wrong ??

I am using Kepler with ECP 1.2.1.

Best regards,

chris

OK - never mind !
I repeated the entire tutorial while strictly making each step exactly as described.
Now everything is working as described by the tutorial.

The problem was in my run configuration. I used
"org.eclipse.emf.ecp.application.e4.product" and "Run a product"
instead of:
"org.eclipse.emf.ecp.application.e3" and "Run an application"

I thought that I must use the e4 variant as I am using eclipse kepler which is e4.

Regards,

chris
