Viewing file properties in PHP Explorer and Navigator [message #1385912] Thu, 12 June 2014 04:44 Go to next message

Hello everyone,

I'm using Eclipse Standard/SDK - Kepler Service Release 2.

When using the Navigator or PHP Explorer view I'd like to be able to view the basic file properties (Size and modified date) next to the file in a similar manner to an OS Explorer.

I know I can get some extended file information in the Properties view but I'd like it closer to hand.

I've used Eclipse in this manner in an earlier version.

Many thanks

Thanks Russell,

This has now been moved to the PDT Forum.

Assuming the PHP Explorer view is a derivative of Common Navigator Framework, this isn't necessarily a PDT-specific question. I would think there's some third-party plugin that provides this, but a quick search yielded nothing. It's a tricky thing to Google for, however.
Writing such a plugin would not be a ton of work; probably a good introduction to writing plugins and the CNF, too.
