Hi Scout Community,

I want to configure jetty in our scout server project.

The idea is to have just one web.xml (targer of our ear is WebSphere).

Mainly we need to do something like this:

Server server = new Server(8085);
WebAppContext webContext = new WebAppContext();
webContext.setDescriptor("WEB-INF/web.xml");
webContext.setResourceBase("src/server/");
webContext.setServer(server);
webContext.setParentLoaderPriority(true);
server.setHandler(webContext);
server.start();
server.join();

Any suggestions where to put the above code in scout server?

Best
Serano

Hi Serano,

I do not understand the need to start a second server from a server application. Nevertheless I assume the server should be started exactly once on start of the scout server. In this case the place to put the code is
[your fully qualified app name].server.ServerApplication.start(IApplicationContext)
.

Probably a good way is to configure jetty to take your web.xml (Framework Jetty OSGi).
