Hi

I tried to run the GEF example which was available in
http://eclipsewiki.editme.com/GefExamples (Hello GEF 1 example ). It was
working fine with the Eclipse 2.1 version, but i need to run this example
on Eclipse 3.1 using GEF 3.1. But its not working there,

No compilation errors, all the statements in the console also get printed
as in the Eclipse 2.1 and the new file with an extension of gefhello1 also
can be create and open with no errors. But only a blank page with a header
name 'Hello GEF Editor' is appering. No rectangles. But the console
messages indicating that it is creating five rectangle.

How can I resolve this?

Thanks,
Chalani

Hi Chalani,

Check out http://www.eclipse.org/gef/reference/digraph1.php and
http://www.eclipse.org/gef/reference/digraph2.php for up to date "Hello
World" GEF examples.

Cheers...
Anthony

Hi,

Thanks for the two links that you had provided. I'm not a genius in this
area. But those examples are run as RCP applications. But I need to run
them in a separate workbench (As in GEF 2.1 example). How can i change the
code of the example in the provided URL by you to reflect this change?

thanks,
Chalani.

Hi Chalani,

Try the example, they are not RCP only.

Cheers...
