Is there a way to have Eclipse CDT's code completion make suggestions on any keypress, instead of just ., ->, ::, and Ctrl + Space?

It seems like the Java version of code assist has an area to enter additional characters, eg. abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyzABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ_.

Is there maybe an addon that solves this?

I've been looking for quite a few hours and have been unable to find a solution, any help or points in the right direction would be appreciated.
