Hi,

I am part of the Modeler team. We used to run on an older version of eclipse
3.0.2 and things were going fine. Now that we have moved to eclipse 3.2.2.
We are experiencing a problem that we think is related to GEF. I would like
some feedback on that.
Here is the scenario. Our display editor displays labels on the nodes. In
english we do not have a problem but in Japanese it seems to truncate the
label after certain characters and not all of them. Given that there are
about 5000 characters in Japanese, it is hard to identify them all. But the
story is this never happened when we were using the older version of eclipse
and our code did not change.
Another interesting observation is that if I change the settings on my
display from 96 DPI to 120 DPI, the problem goes away.
We cannot force our clients to modify their display settings, so any hints
as to what may be causing this behaviour and how to get around it?

Hi Elias,

As you are well aware, IBM has a large number of products built on Eclipse
and GEF and all are translated for Japanese. We do not have any open issues
flagged against GEF regarding to truncation.
