Hi Paul,
Just one question, is it possible to run jet2 outside of Eclipse?

Frederic:

Thanks for the feedback.

I cannot guarantee that the refactoring will be completed by this June's
release - in particular, it is unlikely I'll have tag libraries that will
work outside of a full workbench.

The JET 0.8.0M6 build has a new plug-in, org.eclipse.jet.core, which is
largely free of Eclipse dependencies (except for org.eclipse.text - I will
have to remove some deprecated methods to eliminate that). But,
org.eclipse.jet.core does not yet include any tag library implementations,
nor does it include equivalents to JET2Platform.runTransformXXX().

Martin:

So my question to you is, how outside do you want to be?

Is a dependency on Equinox OK? Or, do you want only dependencies on pure
Java?

I am very likely to try to do something in the next release, but I'm not
clear yet on what the community wants or needs.

You feed back would be much appreciated.

Paul

Paul,
I prefer only dependencies on pure java and possibly some generic java libs (commons-logging etc.).
I want to use jet for generation of jsf web views. Btw, I just mean the actual transformation. So
the templates are developed/created in an eclipse environment.
