Hi All,

I would like to join the JWT group. Please let me know if it is possible
for me to join the group. I have been working for quite sometime on the
opensource workflow engine, Openwfe and have also gone through the
workflow patterns and also through the content on wfmc site. Over a period
of time I have created a interest in this area. Also, presently I do not
have much understanding of the XPDL and BPEL standards.

I would like to contribute in the development of the JWT project.I have
skills in Java and C++. Please let me know how I could start.

Thank you.

Hi Pardeep

Good will is welcome !

Please subscribe to the JWT developers mailing list here :
http://listes.forge.openwide.fr/mailman/listinfo/jwt-develop ers

Right now we're in the process of updating the JWT proposal with our new
partners and goals. There are several interesting contributions
available on the JWT project page at https://forge.openwide.fr/projects/jwt/

Right now, we're in need of in depth knowledge about two critical
technical areas around JWT's metamodel :
* leveraging EMF / GMF in order to achieve suitable versatility for
switching between representation layers and / or business profile layers
* designing JWT's metamodel with XPDL mapping capabilities in mind,
without compromising its genericity ("bridging the gap" with BPEL /
BPEL4WS).

I suggest you start by getting a hold on either of these technologies. I
myself have a background in eclipse RCP & plugin development but I admit
having far less experience with EMF / GMF. On the BPM side the
difficulty is in the complexity and the wide reach of the problematics
as well...

So let me know which area you're more interested in, I'd be glad to give
some pointers.

Best regards,

Hi Marc

Thanks for your support. I would start with JWT meta model. I think for
that I need to go through and understand XPDL, BPEL etc. Please let me
know any specific pointers from your side.

With regards
Pardeep
