Hi there,

from the Draw2D help I did not find anything about graphical animations
of objects. But from some examples I understand, this might be supported
by the framework. Where can I find more information about it? I'm
looking for smooth moving of objects and seamless zooming, rotating and
such stuff. This is usually available in other toolkits like in SVG
graphics or "zoomable user interfaces". So how's here the Draw2D support?

Or the other way round: Has anyone used other graphics frameworks that
support animations for Eclipse editors?

Best regards,
Hauke

Hi Hauke

There is an pure Draw2D example for animation in the TreeExample in
org.eclipse.draw2d.examples.tree in the org.eclipse.draw2d.examples plug-in

Check out the Animation and Animator classes in Draw2D. As well, look the
various GEF Examples that make use of the Draw2D RoutingAnimator and
LayoutAnimator.

Cheers...
Anthony
