Position available in Rochester, Minnesota for Java developer to
participate in the design and development of commercial Eclipse plugins.
Individual will work closely with other team members, project management
and operations teams to design and implement key features and
functionality and deliver a quality product to market in a timely manner.
Key Tasks
Assist in the development of new plugin features
o Identify requirements from customer requests and market drivers
o Design, implement, and unit test feature implementation
Support and enhance current plugins
o Assist the support team on level 3 customer issues
o Actively refactor and improve existing code
Required Skills
Experience developing Eclipse plugins (prior commercial plugin
development experience a plus)
Strong software development skills including experience with Java, XML,
and object-oriented development
Good verbal and written communication skills
Desired Skills
Experience in the use of numerous Eclipse frameworks (ex: Graphical
Editor Framework (GEF), Eclipse Modeling Framework (EMF), Web Tools
Platform (WTP), etc.)
Knowledge of webservice production and consumption
Familiarity with common software development tooling: Eclipse,
Websphere Studio Application Developer, Rational Software Development
Platform (RAD, RSM, RSA), Microsoft Visual Studio, Borland JBuilder
Knowledge of Eclipse User Interface Guidelines
