When we publish the process, we are not getting any search feature. But in
the help on Publishing the process, it's mentions that select, glossary,
Search Index are available for publishing. But even in the publish wizard,
there is no option to select search as a feature.

Any help on this??

You can add glossary items by creating a guidance type called Term. All
Terms will appear in the glossary sorted alphabetically. The Glossary is
accessed from the button in the upper right of the browser window, on
the ribbon.

Indexes are harder. You have to add anchors and special HTML to the
location in the content where you want to jump to when the user selects
the index item. See the help topic "Creating Index Entries" in the EPF
Composer. The Index button is next to the Glossary button.

The generic Search feature is not part of EPF Composer.

Hi

This is a long running issue. The original search facility in RMC was (as
I understand it) provided by the Java applet, which was not part of the
IBM donation to EPF. So far, we have not produced replacement
functionality to provide search through the published content.

There was a bugzilla raised on this issue quite a while ago
(https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=139906).

I think that this is a popular issue - it's usually the first thing I get
asked by new users of published content.

If (like me) you want to see this feature included in a future release of
the product then there are several ways to achieve this;
1. reply to this thread, indicating your support for including the feature
2. vote on the bugzilla mentioned above
3. write the code required to provide the feature and contribute it to EPF
by attaching it to the bugzilla

Method 3 is preferred but one of the other two will do ;-)

cheers

I, too, would like to see Search provided - I thought I had missed
something.
