Wehn I upgraded to M6, my .gmfgen would no longer open, I had to
recreate the generator model, and then it opened but created 2 "Gen
Editor Generators", one that had no information and the other had my
previous edits. I manually deleted the "empty" Gen Editor Generator"
and could not generate the diagram code. So I deleted the .gmfgen, and
recreated from scratch, put in my previous changes, and it generates the
diagram code. However I'm seeing alot of deprecated parts in .gmfgen,
what have they been replaced with?

Specifically *TypeViewFactory, what is the replacement?

Thanks

Hello Brian,

You have to either delete old .gmfgen model and re-create it using .gmfmap
or migrate existin g.gmfgen model using popup menu action "Migrate to GMF
2.2". This action can be missed in GMF M6. In this case try latest GMf build
- it is already there.

Thanks Alex, unless I'm missing something, I still see the Migrate to
GMF 2.1 in the latest integration release, and still see the following
errors when trying to migrate:

FeatureNotFoundException: Feature 'parser' not found.
(platform:/resource/com.mycompany.it.internal/model/it.gmfge n, 502, 57)
....

Hello Brian,

Ig you are upgreading to M6 from GMF M5 then you have to open .gmfgen file
in a text editor and change model URI from http://www.eclipse.org/gmf/2008/GenModel
to http://www.eclipse.org/gmf/2009/GenModel.
If you are migrating from the prev. GMF release then M6 is not sufficient
for you - you have to download one of the latest GMF builds and run migration
action/open corresponding model.
