Valid link attributes depending on source node [message #226749] Mon, 20 April 2009 16:10 Go to next message

Hi there,

I'm trying to create some sort of workflow-configuration tool.

I've got nodes connected by named links. A node can be a sub-workflow with
some defined output values (sub-elements of the workflow), so the node
provides a list of values that can be used as name for a link.

I would like to have some sort of list for the user to choose a name for a
link, which is allowed for its source-node.

I could think of some dynamic dropdown-list or a simple wizard to achieve
that.

Can anybody think of a solution for this or point me into the right
direction?
Are there any tutorials for similar problems available?

Thanks in advance, any help really appreciated!
Peter

Hi Esteban,
Thanks for your reply!

I'm afraid that this will not solve my problem though. I do not want to
restrict the type of link (there is only one available at the moment) but
to restrict/suggest the values for an attribute of the link.

So if the source-node of my link has "return"-sub-elements named "OK" and
"Error" then these are the valid return-values of this node and they
should be available in some sort of list for the user to choose as
attribute of the link.

Am I missing something, can your examples help me with this?

Thanks in advance,
Peter

Hi Peter,

Have you tried to set ocl constraint on link mapping in your gmfmap file?
