Programmatically create repository connections [message #1322105]

Hello Forum,
I have the need to programmaticly set-up and configure some repository
connections (JIRA, Jenkins etc).
It was surprisingly easy to create this feature, but the solution currently
violoates several restriction rules (e.g. get Discouraged access) for some
libraries
(like org.eclipse.mylyn.tasks.ui)

Would prefer to do this in a clean /supported way. Are there other ways to
achive the same featurem without breaking access rules?
